Relatives and neighbours of 18-year-old Shraddha Pujari can't believe the lively, exuberant teenager is no more.
A resident of PMGP colony in Poonam Nagar, Andheri (East), Shraddha drowned off Arnala beach near Virar on Sunday. Her colleague Satish Bandhu, 22, is missing.

Shraddha and four other colleagues from an event management company had gone to the beach for sales promotion.

After distributing some samples to locals and visitors, the youngsters decided to have a little fun. They entered the water a little after 3pm, reportedly ignoring warnings from lifeguards and locals, and ventured deep into the sea.
As the tide dragged them further, locals, lifeguards, and coast guard officers rushed went to their rescue.
The coast guard managed to rescue Malay Gawde, 24, Mohammed Shaikh, 23, and Shraddha Walekar, 18.
According to the Virar police, all the youngsters worked at Midas Events, Versova.

Pujari is survived by her mother and two older siblings. Her father died a few years ago. "She was a lively girl, socially active, and used to talk to everyone in the colony," said Manoj Gongale, a neighbor.
