‘Ganesh visarjan’ ceremony normally takes place on the Ananta Chaturdasi day, which falls 12 days after the Ganesh Chaturthi day. In 2008, date of Ganesh Visarjan as per tradition is on September 14. But there are people who do the immersion ceremony before the main Visarjan day of Ananta Chaturdasi.
The Sea Guardian Lifeguards took Dangerous point on juhu beach to safe guard devotees life, the most dangerous point is Beach adjacent to Godrej bunglow.
Sea guardians twenty five lifeguards, stationed with life jackets, first aid & Doctor for any emergency. Lifeguard also took task of helping devotees in Ganesha idol visarjan.
Juhu police station was of great help. They played great roll in helping lifeguards to tackle people entering in deep water.
