THE SEA GUARDIAN LIFEGUARD

Dear Sir,

I (S. Kanojia ) have started Water Lifeguard NGO (THE SEA GUARDIAN LIFEGUARD) on the juhu beach, on 1 st of march 2007, there are 20 volunteers this volunteers work in two shift on the beach the shift starts in the morning at 6:30 am till 1:00 pm second shift starts at 1:00 pm till 7:30 pm, there are Six points on the juhu beach 1. Juhu Chowpaty 2. Centure Hotel 3. Sun-n-sand 4. Gandhi Gram (Iskcon lane) 5. Godrej Bunglow 6.Seven Bunglow Versova. This beach are guarded all time. The beach is also kept clean by requesting people on the beach to throw garland in the green bin on the beach, Bunking school children are taken care and their details are taken and sent to their school, or to their parents. so far we have caught around 150 student and physically handed over around 76 student to the school and to the parents.

This students are are from various schools of mumbai.

This (2007) Holi we had 30 volunteers and 4 lifeboat patrolling in the sea, our life guard were able save 50 odd people who were pulled out from deep water and reached on the shore our Lifeguard Mr. Manohar Mangela & Darshan mangela remove two dead body washed from versova creek, thus we avoided untoward incident on the juhu beach, every year there use to be around 8 to 10 death but this time its just two.
Our boys have done great job. THE SEA GUARDIAN LIFEGUARD was praised by BMC Mumbai , Mumbai Police & public of Juhu.
